The instructor is Gwilym McMillan. Gwilym is a 4th degree black belt with over 25 years of experience in the system.

Since achieving his black belt in 2003 as a medical school undergraduate, Gwilym has been involved as an assistant instructor at the Cardiff University Club and continues to train under the guidance of his senior instructors within the system. Gwilym is DBS checked (enhanced).
